About me

Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapy in Colorado

About Julia

If you're tired of performing "normalcy" and ready to feel at home in your own mind, you're in the right place.

I'm Julia, and I offer a creative, trauma-informed space for people ready to drop the mask and meet their true selves

From the Outside In: My Story

I started my career as a makeup artist, helping people express themselves on the outside. But I kept feeling pulled toward something deeper, helping people feel just as at home on the inside.

That pull led me to art therapy: a clinical practice that blends creativity, neuroscience, and compassion to process what words alone can't reach.

How I Work

I'm an Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate and Provisional Art Therapist with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Transpersonal Art Therapy. I've worked across high- and low-support settings, and that's taught me one thing: healing isn't one-size-fits-all. It takes a flexible toolkit.

In our work together, I draw from:

  • Practical tools — Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, for when you want clarity and structure

  • Deep-dive practices — Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, and Art Therapy, for the material that lives beneath language

This lets us work with both your logical mind and your creative spirit, so you can find your way back to yourself.

Is This You?

You might be a good fit for our work together if you:

  • Feel the world too intensely and think too deeply, or you believe something is fundamentally wrong with you

  • Value honesty, curiosity, and authenticity over small talk

  • Are creative, or find metaphor and visual work easier than verbal processing

  • Feel tormented by the endless doom-piles and to-do lists, and worry you'll never "get your act together."

  • Have ADHD, ASD, or simply feel that your brain is not neurotypical.

  • Are carrying deep shame or a harsh inner critic you're ready to face

  • Have been told you're "too much" - too sensitive, too angry, too perfectionist, too weird - and are done believing it

Let's See If We're a Fit

I offer a free 15-minute consultation — no pressure, just a chance to see if my approach (and my personality) feel right for you.
