About me
Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapy in Colorado
Hi, I'm Julia, and I’ve been there.
As someone who has lived with ADHD, anxiety, and depression, I know that traditional talk therapy can sometimes feel...well, not super helpful. I know the cycle of wanting change but getting stuck in easy patterns or sensory overload.
Because of that, you don't need to do the typical therapy thing. I’m committed to offering an approach that actually fits how your brain works.
From the Outside In: My Journey
I began my career as a makeup artist, helping people express themselves outwardly. But I felt a calling to go deeper, to help people feel at home in their inner world, not just their outer image.
That calling led me to Art Therapy: a practice that blends creativity, neuroscience, and deep compassion.
What it’s like to work with me
My style is collaborative, creative, and affirming. I work especially well with the "square pegs"--people who feel the world doesn't quite fit their brain.
Therapy with me isn’t a project to "fix" your faults, it’s a process of returning to yourself.
-
A Sanctuary for Your Stuff: We create a space where your emotions aren’t "too much" and the pace is entirely yours. No rushing, no performance.
-
Bypassing the "Talk Loop": When words feel too intense or inadequate, we use images, symbols, and textures. This offers a gentler, more intuitive way to process trauma that lives below the surface of language.
-
Bodily Care: We use art to communicate directly with your nervous system. It’s about building regulation and resilience in your body, without the exhausting pressure to explain it all away.
My approach is trauma-informed, and I draw from expressive arts, parts work, somatic practices, and cognitive tools. Whether you’re navigating ADHD, anxiety, or relational wounds, my goal is to help you reconnect with yourself, your emotions, and others in a way that feels sustainable.
